Understanding Watch Conditions
Terms such as “new”, “unworn” and “pre-owned” are used slightly differently across the trade. This guide explains how we use them on this website.
New
A watch that has not previously been worn or sold at retail. We state whether it comes with its original box and papers.
Unworn
A watch that has been sold previously but, to the best of our knowledge, has not been worn. Protective stickers and tags may or may not remain; we describe each piece individually.
Pre-owned
A watch that has been worn. Condition varies from piece to piece, so we describe visible wear, service history where it is known, and what accompanies the watch. Details that we have not verified are shown as “To be confirmed”.
Our advice
Whatever the label, ask for additional photographs and information before you decide. We are happy to answer questions in person or on WhatsApp.
